My Latest Idea and SEO Strategy

December 2nd, 2010 No Comments

Just like you, I have hundreds of ideas running around my brain at any given time, all of them subjected to some sort of filtering system that eventually forces the good ones out to my hands, to be created at the weirdest times. This is one of those times.

I want to create a small network of websites and blogs that will push one of my “money sites” to the top of the SERPs for some “office lease” keywords. The basic strategy is outlined in this screenshot:

As you can see, the main site I want to push up is the “primary site,” or in this example case, hoodmonkey.com. I’ll create three “secondary sites” that will cater around the subject I’m focused on, and within the first month or so, point a few links from these small sites to hoodmonkey.com all the while creating 10 or 20 “ternary sites” that will each point to one of the secondary sites. In other words: I’m giving backlinks to my backlinks, which will hopefully strengthen the amount of street-cred my primary site gets from Google and Bing.

I’m not well versed in SEO anymore, but I think that as long as the mini site network stays within the well-known search engine rules, I won’t have to worry about getting de-listed from anything. Also, if all goes as planned, I’d have about three or four of my mini sites ranking for the same category as my primary site.

In closing, if this first three-month test goes well, I’m going to launch a website network of 300 or so sites that I’ll use for SEO. My second project is launching 500 sites, with the goal of each site profiting $5 per day. Again, I don’t do blackhat, so this is all well within the widely accepted rules of both Google and Bing, the latter of which now powering Yahoo.

Til the next post, I reckon..
