Create your own sanity.

This is my desktop background.

Notice the barbed-wire. It represents the feeling of being fenced in, and emphasizes the painful escape required to bring the outside world into focus. Perhaps it’s the outside world that is painful, and being secured in a predefined area with a clear reason to stay is needed to feel safe.

Or maybe the original is just set in a high enough resolution that it fills my entire twenty-eight inch monitor without stretching. Hard to know.

It’s said that some people begin to research psychology to fix themselves, rather than others. I say it’s a perfect way to help yourself along the way without paying someone heaps of cash to judge you. Your brain is capable of creating the same conversation you’d have with the doctor at their office, but confined within the walls of your head. This is perfectly sane, and you’re safe until the character you’ve created to play the doctor starts bitching about the event you created in order to stiff him on the bill. If you’re feeling particularly lucid, just imagine sending his receptionist an insurance form to fill out on your next visit.

A friend turned me on to this image of an ice canyon, which looks like the world’s second coldest vagina, after Hillary Clinton. http://www.redbubble.com/people/karex/art/72923-11-ice-canyon As an update, my family decided to have Thanksgiving at my brother’s house, which was a pleasant disaster. Everything was a bit hectic, so my father took his aggression out on [...]

Writing on an ipod

December 4th, 2008 No Comments

I bought an iPod touch yesterday. The only place that sold the iphone nearby was closed. I’m actually writing this post on an iPod touch, and it’s surprising easy to type on th even though the keyboard is a bit smaller than what I’m used to. Also it has support for multible mail mailboxes which [...]

I hate you, stupid tooth.

November 18th, 2008 No Comments

So the abscessed tooth I had last year is back. Why didn’t I get it taken care of last year? Because I am an asshole, and God is punishing me. Side notes: I’m almost done redesigning Ecoble.com, and I’m working on a 2D multi-player tank game called SnowBolo. It’s a clone of the original Mac [...]

Kayne West.

Scott Adams feels Kayne West is a genius. I’m going to be the first to say it: Barack Obama hates black people. That needs to be on the Daily Show.

Apparently, Yes We Can.

I didn’t vote yesterday because I was just too busy to stand in a polling line for an hour and listen to elderly people, God bless them, complain about the war, taxes and Medicare. As an aside: my own insurance company will be called Medontcare, and our only focus will be on forcing customers to [...]

Drawing Cartoons.

October 28th, 2008 No Comments

In a sudden burst of creativity, I’ve decided to start animating cartoons in a program called ToonBoom. The software itself have turned my drawings into the visual equivalent of a Britney Spears song. Meaning I can’t draw, but ToonBoom corrects my mistakes. Both examples cause mild depression and tighter pants. My first project was uploaded to YouTube, which [...]

HoodMonkey Radio Automation Software

October 1st, 2008 5 Comments

Most computer-based radio studios use a commercial quality software program to automate their station’s music, and to ‘voice track’ a DJ’s voice for overnight time slots and such. Some also use it to string multiple studios together for stuff like news and weather and sports broadcasts. Generally, the software is pretty expensive, sometimes going into [...]

HoodMonkey Radio

September 23rd, 2008 No Comments

As a hobby, I’m starting a internet radio station. I might extend that and apply for a low power FM license but for the next month or so I’m going to be streaming with some awesome equipment that was cheaper than I ever thought.
